Robert:

“In 1962 I was the Manager of a hotel where The Tams lived on Auburn Ave, Atlanta Ga. We had just finished rehearsing when the phone rang, it was Bill Lowrey. He Said he had heard much about The Tams and he wanted to record us. This was on Monday nite. and he told us how to get to his office. on Friday to pick up the tickets to Nashville. I was excited when we got to the bus station. I asked the man which bus were going to Memphis, Joe Pope said “Not Memphis, Robert, Nashville”.

We were at Bradley Studio recording in one studio and the 4 Seasons were in another recording “Sherry” and Solomon Burke was recording in another Studio.”
